POSITION SUMMARY
Medgene Labs seeks a Production Support Associate to Perform support activities for Vaccine Production within the site's described procedures.

JOB DUTIES
The Production Support Associate is responsible for ensuring reliable and accurate support in the preparation of supplies required for vaccine production, as well as complete the labeling and various packaging activities of the vaccines. Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and aseptic techniques is preferred. The position requires the ability to read and understand standard operating procedures and be able to execute the procedures to ensure compliance with CVB regulations. Good documentation practices are required while documenting the work that is being performed.

• Must be able to follow detailed instructions, scientific protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• May be required to prepare and sterilize media, buffers, and reagents.
  • Usage of delicate scales for precise measurements
  • Operation of pumps and filtration devices for sterilization
  • Basic chemistry for pH adjustments
• Accurately label and package vaccine products.
• Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware, carboys, tubing, connectors, etc.
  • Autoclave operation is the primary method of sterilization.
• General cleaning and upkeep of laboratories.
• Monitor and record equipment data, such as temperatures.
• Maintain and monitor inventories of supplies and materials required in all assigned tasks and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation, as required.
• Properly handle, identify, sort, prepare, sterilize, and dispose of biohazard materials and hazardous chemicals.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, using proper safety equipment and following safety procedures.
• Other tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of:
  • Good Documentation Practices.
  • Operation of basic laboratory equipment.
  • Experience with an autoclave is preferred but not required.
  • Aseptic technique knowledge is preferred but not required.
• Ability to:
  • Effectively clean and sanitized laboratory equipment.
  • Follow specific procedures.
  • Work safely with infectious materials and specimens.
  • Operate scientific equipment and computers.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Keep detailed and accurate documentation.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for self and other employees at all times.
